One of Swansea’s most cherished multicultural celebrations, Eid in the Park, returns for its 14th year at the Lacrosse Field in Singleton Park, promising a vibrant, inclusive day for families and communities of all backgrounds.

Organised by Welsh Islamic Cultural Association Swansea (WICAS) in collaboration with Swansea University, Sketty Mosque & Community Centre, Swansea Council, and other valued partners, the event continues to bring together Swansea’s diverse communities in a spirit of celebration, understanding, and togetherness.

Following the success of last year’s event, which welcomed over 2,000 attendees—primarily children and families—the 2026 celebration is set to be even bigger, with expanded activities, increased community participation, and a continued focus on inclusivity and cultural exchange.

This free public event will take place from 11:30am to 4:30pm, featuring a wide range of attractions and activities, including:

  • Inflatable rides, bouncy castles, and games for all ages
  • Henna art, face painting, sumo wrestling, and a bungee run
  • A variety of food stalls and cultural exhibitions
  • Photobooths and interactive community experiences
  • Free goody bags for the first 200 children (first come, first served)
  • Opportunities to connect with local services, charities, and community organisations

“Eid in the Park is more than just a celebration,” said Riaz Hassan, Event Coordinator. “It’s a platform for building bridges, fostering understanding, and celebrating the diversity that makes Swansea such a welcoming city.”

Now in its 14th year, Eid in the Park continues to be a cornerstone of interfaith and intercultural engagement in Swansea. The event brings together young volunteers, students, families, and local institutions, while also providing a platform to promote community cohesion and challenge issues such as inequality and discrimination.
