IBBSS 2026 Gala Concert

Join us for the spectacular finale of the International Brass Band Summer School 2026, celebrating a week of musical excellence, learning and inspiration.
Hosted by the legendary former Radio 2 presenter and Conductor Frank Renton, this special gala concert showcases the outstanding talent of IBBSS delegates alongside some of the most respected names in the brass band world, including renowned Black Dyke Brass Band Musical Director Professor Nick Childs, Colonel Dave Barringer, British Army Director of Music and Brass Band Musical Director and acclaimed composer Tom Davoren.
Featuring guest solo performances from:
• Tom Hutchinson – Principal Cornet, Black Dyke Band
• Brett Baker – Principal Trombone, Cory Band and International Soloist
• Daniel Lavacchielli – International prize-winning Italian soloist and winner of the International Music Competition of Pesaro and the Lazlo Spezzaferri International Music Prize
This unique concert celebrates the future of brass music while supporting the charitable work of the Geneva Foundation, which champions access to music education, youth development and sustainable opportunities within the brass band community.
Admission is free. Audience members are warmly invited to make a suggested £10 donation to support the Geneva Foundation's work in developing the next generation of musicians.
