Cwmdonkin Park is just a short walk from this house. It's where Dylan Thomas played as a child. The same paths, the same trees. A place that stayed with him long after he left.

This evening brings that park into the house.

Join us at the Dylan Thomas Birthplace for the launch of Dylan's Park, a new children's book by Helen Docherty and Thomas Docherty, created entirely from Dylan's own words.

Set in Cwmdonkin Park, the book follows a boy's adventure through the place that helped shape his early imagination.

Helen will read from the book here in the parlour, while Thomas brings the story to life with live drawing.

After the reading, there will be time to meet them both and have your book signed.

Dylan's Park offers a different way into Dylan's world.
For younger readers, it's a first meeting.
For others, it's a return.
Either way, it brings his words back to the place they began.

The parlour doesn't hold many people, which makes it feel all the more personal.
